Follow The Rainbow
FOLLOW THE RAINBOW is a celebration of positive thinking; of finding the rainbow in every storm..., the success in every failure..., the growth opportunity in every crisis or painful experience. This album features 16 original songs with a positive theme written and performed by songwriter/artists from the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area. Some of whom have established themselves as solo performers, such as Margo Hennebach, Mary Ann Farley and Rod Shepard. Each with their own solo work this compact disc is a great collection of diverse styles, ranging from folk to pop and rock. Brought together under the common theme of positive thinking, Follow The Rainbow recognizes and honors those of us needing assistance which we provide through a donation from this collaborative contribution to educational and social programs.
The artwork photographed and included on the posterfold insert was contributed by United Cerebral Palsy Associations of NYS (UCPA of NYS, or UCPA); all created by people challenged with deveolpmental disabilities.
The creation of Follow The Rainbow was inspired by the many individuals challenged with disabilities we have known, who strive to grow. The UCPA of NYS Metropolitan New York Division provides residential, educational, medical, vocational, recreational, and therapeutic services to persons with developmental and physical disabilities throughout the five boroughs of New York City. In addition, UCPA of NYS operates Jened Recreation Village located in the Catskill Mountains. Customized leisure opportunities are offered on site and through Jened Travel Camping. Known as Camp Jened, it is one of the most unique camps of its kind in the nation.
UCPA of NYS¼s Recreation Department sponsors an annual exhibit of artwork selected from various artists living in UCPA of NYS comminuty residences. Most of the visual artwork in this insert was selected from the UCPA of NYS Art Show of 1995
