Xanthi Music (XMI) is an audio production company founded in 1987 by producer Rod Shepard in New York City, who then moved to Hoboken, NJ in 1991. In 1993 Xanthi Recording was officially opened. Created as a singer/songwriter project recording studio for writers Xanthi also became a demo production and audio editing facility; where the idea behind the studio was to create a project type commercial studio atmosphere with world class sound.

Producer Rod Shepard's work inlcudes projects that range from commercials and ads, television shows, singer/songewriter demos and complete artist albums. As a producer his key element is in artist production and arrangement (samples coming soon).
Xanthi features in-house 2" 24-track analog recording, 24-track digital ADAT tape, MIDI production and ProTools based recording & editing, a live room equipped with drums, amps and a baby grand piano. The need to turn ideas into finished quality recordings is the primary focus which was elemental in the creation of the new studio design. We now also feature format transfers.
Xanthi Music provides services to clients with an added touch of personal interest. Because our name is on every thing we do, our ultimate goal is to make sure each client walks out pleased with the results; we give all of our clients personal attention.
